All Quiet on the Western Front… well, not quite.
First off I want to wish you Happy New Year!
I hope your holiday season was enjoyable and that you took some time to plan 2011.
Personally for me the holiday season was a bitter-sweet roller coaster of emotion and travel, with more twists and turns that I could have imagined. Our Christmas day was great, but the next day I found out my brother back home in Australia passed away. There’s nothing quite like jumping on a plane the next day and flying 8,000 miles across the Pacific. It was a humble reminder of how fragile life is and how grateful we should be on a daily basis…
Anyhow that amongst other things, like the new year and all that good stuff, trying to finish up the new version of my Dojo Organizer software, planning events for 2011, and adopting a puppy, has made it extremely difficult to find the time to write this blog… but here we are again with 2011 unfolding faster than a furious origami maker starting over.
The good news is, there is plenty in the pipeline that I want to share with you this year, starting next week with some goal setting. I’m going to share with you some of the secret goal setting techniques I used to help me win the WEKAF stick fighting world title last year.
Also I’ve got plenty of events and seminars planned for 2011, the first one will be on March 5/6, which I’ll tell you about later this week once the details are finalized.
Finally I want to say thank you to you, the reader, for coming here last year and reading what I wrote. I’m sure you don’t always agree, but I hope at least I challenge your thoughts and push you a little when you need it.
Until next time…
Stay safe, train hard.
